InterVarsity Chapters
Partner with STIM Students!

There are lots of ways for an InterVarsity chapter to partner with students who are participating in STIM! We hope that students who participate in STIM AND THE FELLOWSHIPS THEY ARE A PART OF will benefit from the experience!

Here are some ways your chapter can get involved:

Make sure your chapter is aware that students are going overseas. Find out when the STIM weekends are and pray for student’s participating at each large group before a STIM weekend.

Give your STIM students time in large group to talk about what they are learning, where they are going, and ask for prayer.

Join your STIM students in their weekly times of prayer for the country they will be going to and the team they will be a part of.

Help your STIM student get their fundraising letter out:
Buy a roll of stamps
Pay for copying costs
Help address, stuff and stamp the letter

Encourage your STIM student throughout the fundraising process.
Pray
Remind them of God’s faithfulness

Help raise money for your STIM student:
Sponsor a fundraiser (car wash, penny wars, service auction)
Take up a collection
Help them think of fundraising contacts
Encourage members of the chapter to support individually
Let them know if there are parents of students in the chapter who might be willing to support.

Learn about the country where your STIMmer will spend the summer.

Help them transition back to the States upon return.
Provide an opportunity for them to share about the summer in large group.
Host a dinner where they can show pictures, souvenirs, eat “national” food, and share at length about the experience.
Ask lots of questions.
Provide opportunities for them to apply what they learned to benefit the ministry of your fellowship on campus.
